Make-To-Order Process Flow

Assembly Processing
A prerequisite for this process is that the individual components for the final product have to be available for production, so that the components can be assembled immediately

As in the standard make-to-order process, the system returns the confirmed quantity and material availability date from the production order to the schedule lines of the sales order
Any subsequent changes to the confirmed schedule lines or the material availability date are immediately visible in the sales order and/or in the production order

Create Sales Order
Create Sales Order > Item > Schedule Lines
Create Sales Order > Item > Schedule Lines > Procurement
Create Sales Order > Item > Schedule Lines > Procurement > Header

The material availability date of the schedule line corresponds to the basic end date of the production order

Assembly Processing with Variant Configuration
Configurable material
Configuration profile

You use it to define specific properties of the configuration
Class
The material is assigned to one or more classes in the configuration profile, or directly in the material master
Characteristics
Each class contains one or more characteristics, which represent the variable attributes of the material
Values
The possible values for each characteristics can be defined

You can also maintain surcharges/discounts for characteristic values, which affect pricing
