Installment Plan
An installment plan allows the customer to pay in installments
Only one billing document is created for all of the installment payments
The printed invoice is created on the basis of this billing document and includes a list of individual payment dates and exact amounts

Each installment payment creates an accounts receivable line item posting in Financial Accounting

You must define installment payment terms in Customizing

For installment payment terms, you must specify the number and the amount of the installment in percentage and payment terms for each installment payment
When you post an invoice with installment payment terms, the system will generate the appropriate number of postings in the accounting document based on these specifications
